Bend Park and Recreation District Chooses LS Networks to Solve Network Challenges
LS Networks – the largest, locally owned, fiber-optic network in the Pacific Northwest – announces that Bend Park and Recreation has adopted the LS Networks Ethernet Networks’ solution in order to improve connectivity issues and eliminate the technology management burden associated with managing multiple locations.
Bend Park and Recreation District owns and manages the parks, natural areas, recreational facilities, and trails within the city of Bend, Oregon. Established as a special district in 1974, the Bend Park and Recreation District has grown from a small park to more than 3,035 acres of developed and undeveloped parkland that includes 81 parks/natural areas and 80 miles of trail.
In the spring of 2020, the Bend Park and Recreation District began to seek technology and internet connectivity solutions to help improve consolidation, speed, uptime, and security. Dave Arnold, IT Manager of Bend Park and Recreation District, said
“Our team knew that serving our five main recreation and office facilities was going to be challenging. LS Networks found ways to connect all sites within our budget and found solutions to several obstacles.”
The Carrier Grade Ethernet solution that will be deployed to the Bend Park and Recreation District is a respected and trusted cornerstone of the LS Networks brand. This solution connects geographically dispersed sites and ensures these points are able to communicate seamlessly as one cohesive network.
Trent Anderson, Vice President of Sales at LS Networks noted,
“Bend Park and Recreation District was quite specific in what they required, and we are very pleased to have delivered a solution that truly meets their needs. It is particularly important for us to understand and satisfy our clients’ goals so that they can deliver and increase the value of their offerings to their customers.”
LS Networks has been delivering customized network solutions to a growing roster of clients in Oregon and Washington since 2005. Following its acquisition of Central Oregon-based Quantum Communications in 2016, LS Networks has expanded its network to serve rural and underserved communities with high-speed connectivity that other carriers deploy only in metropolitan areas. LS Networks’ approach to network connectivity enables organizations of all sizes to harness the power of fiber-optics and take their businesses to the next level.
