SONET
LS Networks SONET is provided in several bandwidth capacities and configurations. Services are available via our leading edge fiber optic network and DWDM technology. SONET provides a secure, error-free and easily managed service. Standard features and benefits include:
- A full range of circuit channel options: OC-48, OC-12, OC-3, DS-3, and DS-1.
- Standard ADM optical connections enable customers to deploy various vendor equipment and add/drop drop signals without extensive muxing.
- Accommodates new and emerging protocols such as converged IP.
- Ring configured route is protected and monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including alarm surveillance.
- Flexible terms and pricing: a guarantee of being at least ten percent less than valid and corresponding market bids.
- Service Level Agreement that ensure 99.999% availability, a BER of 10-9 for optical circuits, and restoration intervals less than 50 milliseconds.
Wavelength
Wavelengths provide the widest range of configuration possibilities available in the market. This service provids tremendous bandwidth capacity without the significant upfront capital costs or the management and maintenance issues associated with a do-it-yourself network. Based on Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM and CWDM), service configurations include Dual Path, Core-Protected and Single Path, available at 1.25 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps and 10 Gbps.
TDM Private Line
LS Networks Private Line provides point-to-point private communications for voice, video and data applications. LS Networks can connect local exchange providers, competitive local exchange providers, and Interexchange carriers to our DWDM network backbone, SONET services and Wavelength services. Private Line can be provisioned across a wide variety of communication systems with service protection. Private Line offers flexible capacities, ranging from OC-48 to DS-1
Internet Services
LS Networks Internet Services offer dedicated, reliable, high-speed access to the major Internet exchange points in two diverse Oregon locations - Portland via Verizon/UUnet and Eugene via Level3.. Direct access is provided via TDM, Ethernet over SONET or Wavelength service. LS Networks Internet provides a Tier 2 and facilities-based connection that reflect private peering relationships and minimal hops. Service levels range from OC-48, OC-12, OC-3, DS-3 and DS-1 to Gigabit Ethernet. Ideal for ISPs, ASPs and enterprise customers, LS Networks Internet can route traffic around congested public peering points, thus providing optimal speed and reliability. By adding this service as a connection to an existing solution, customers can benefit from overall reduced costs and redundancy. All connections are based on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), the standard ISP routing protocol for Internet traffic. LSN can assign IP space, to include IP address blocks, and provide primary and secondary domain name service, and domain name registration
